Several family and friends asked me to create a website to share our race calendar, photos, video, and news. So here it is. I realize we're not a professional race team, but if we act like one, maybe we'll perform like one. Thanks for your interest and thanks for visiting the site. I'll try to keep it updated.

Back in Black July 26, 2010
We're back. The car runs and looks great after all the crash repairs and is now sporting a flat black repainted rear end. To get back in the swing of things, we did a double regional race at Road America. It turned out to be a great weekend to try some new things and work on shaving time. Laps were consistent and we got faster as the weekend progressed even without putting on new rubber. The regional races are lower pressure with smaller fields, so we may use more of those in the future for testing opportunities. We ended up winning first overall both days, so that didn't hurt either.
Rest vs. Sprint June 26, 2010
The June Sprints are this weekend. Thanks to Gregg and the Pinnacle team the car is ready, but I'm not quite. It took me longer than I expected to fully recover (mainly mentally) from the crash a few weeks ago, so we're going to play it safe and sit out this race. We'll do some practice sessions and maybe a race next month and focus on being in top form for the Runoffs.
Hitting The Wall
June 4, 2010
After a really good start to the year, we finally hit a wall ... literally. I lost the brakes at the end of the front straight at Road America at 151 mph. Turns out a fluke problem with a brake line was the culprit. The fact that I came out of the incident without a scratch on me is a true testament to the safety features of the car, gear, and track. It was a very scary ride, but I'm extremely thankful I was not hurt and the car was not damaged too badly either. If you're brave enough to see what it's like to negotiate Turn 1 at Road America with no brakes, take a look at the following video.
I'm grateful to the Road America safety crew and Sheboygan Hospital staff (and Rose) for taking good care of me. Thanks to Gregg and Pinnacle Autosports' tremendous efforts, the car will be back in racing order very soon. And I will mentally be ready as well after taking it easy for the last couple of weeks. We were running up front at the time and getting faster. We'll be back.
